Celebrating 80 Years

Cloverleaf Garden Club of Mississauga is celebrating its 80th anniversary. The year-long celebration began with a potluck dinner and an anniversary cake, at the Club’s AGM meeting on January 17. Ward 1 Councillor Stephen Dasko joined this celebration and helped getting the evening started.

Cloverleaf was established in 1944 with the objective to bring fellow gardeners together to share their horticultural interests. The first meeting was held in February of the same year, under the direction of President, J.H.L. Morgan Q.C.

Since then, members have been committed to spreading the knowledge of horticulture, encouraging the beautification of home and public grounds and stimulating the interest of children in gardening and the environment through the Club’s Junior Programme.
