Mississauga Garden Festival
Have you ever wanted to peak into someone else’s backyard to see her/his garden, or to get up close to a plant to take a photo or an extra-long look? Garden tours give you that opportunity.
Founded in 2017, the original Mississauga Garden Festival was started by two horticultural societies, the Cloverleaf Garden Club and the former Applewood Garden Club. In 2018, The Credit Valley Horticultural Society joined as a partner. The inspiration for this event was based on the Buffalo Garden Walk which has been showing gardens for over 25 years.
The goals of the Mississauga Garden Festival are:
To promote civic awareness through an interest in gardening, public parks and natural reserves;
To inspire healthy and environmentally sustainable activities; and
To build a sense of community through sharing of gardening expertise and ideas.
